Butte County Big Day with Matt and Liam
May 1 @ 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
We will travel all over Butte County and tally as many species as we can in one day! We’ll start off at the Chico Park & Ride in the western lot (closest to Hwy 99) at 7 am. We will travel to the Butte Meadows area (as far as we can, snow permitting) to try for some montane species and also hit all the great local birding spots around Chico and Oroville. We usually get well over 110 species on these Big Day trips. It is a whirlwind trip, so be prepared by bringing lunch, snacks, water, binoculars, layers of clothing, and a spotting scope if you have one. This all day trip ends at sunset.
We hope to have as few cars as possible, but still want people to travel only with others in their households or social pods.
