Upcoming Field Trips

All of our field trips are open to beginning birders.  Anyone with a sense of wonder is welcome to participate.

Bird Point Reyes for fall vagrants – October 7-9. We'll camp at Samuel P. Taylor State Park Friday and Saturday night. Our first stop will be at Point Reyes Visitor Center Saturday morning for a hike along the Earthquake Trail and to pick up a copy of Filed Checklist of Birds for Point Reyes National Seashore ($2.50). We'll then bird the outer Peninsula to the Lighthouse, Fish Docks, and Drakes Beach. Then we’ll move on to the Historic Ranches. Sunday we'll drive towards Tomales Bay State Park and Abbott’s Lagoon. Bring camping gear, money for site and carpooling. Leaders: Jennifer Patten and Gaylord Grams. Contact Jennifer Patten if you wish to go so transportation and camping can be coordinated; 345-9356 or jepchico@aol.com.
