Redding Bird Festival - May 7-8, 2005 – Presented by the Central Valley Bird Club, Wintu Audubon Society and the Turtle Bay Exploration Park.  All sessions will be held or will begin at the Turtle Bay Exploration Park, Visitor Center, 840 Auditorium Drive, Redding California. Admission is Free!

Saturday, May 7

7 AM to 12 Noon - Local field trips. Locations can include depending on interest: Anderson River Park, Tower House Historic District at Whiskeytown N.R.A., Lower Clear Creek Restoration Area, Redding Sewer Ponds.

12 Noon to 1 PM - Lunch on your own. The Café at the Turtle Bay Exploration Park is a convenient facility. Demonstration of attendees’ spotting scopes on the boardwalk

1 PM - Presentation and Fieldtrip on Dragonflies and Butterflies with Ray Bruun and Bruce Deuel

3:30 PM - Welcoming Remarks from Bill Oliver and John Sterling

3:45 PM - Presentation on Bird Migration by Scott Terrill

4:30 PM - Presentation on Landbird Response to Restoration: Integrating Monitoring Results into Restoration Actions at Clear Creek by Ryan Burnett

7:00 AM - Half-day field trips to: Lake McCumber, Manzanita Lake at Lassen Volcanic N.P.
