The Middle Mountain Foundation (MMF) is a nonprofit land trust organization whose mission is to help protect the Sutter Buttes while educating the public as to its incredible uniqueness. MMF has created learning opportunities within the Sutter Buttes for thousands of people, typically as guided hikes for the public or as school class outings. Some have said that the Sutter Buttes are probably one of the most discussed landmarks in all of California. Just recently, Peace Valley which makes up just 4 percent of the Sutter Buttes became the first-ever public acquisition in the region by the California State Parks. Come and hear the whole story and the latest details about this special landscape with its exceptional natural and cultural values. The meeting will be at the Chico Creek Nature Center, 1968 East Eighth Street. |
