Field Trip Chair Needed

Bad news – we’re once again without a field trip chair, so we won’t be having any weekend trips over the summer. Hopefully you can all get out on your own! If any of you are interested, or know anyone who would be, have them contact us. The field trip chair doesn’t need to be a great birder, just be willing to commit to a time and place to get people together. Ideally the position needs someone who would be going birding anyway, and just announces it ahead of time so that others can tag along if they want. They also need to be willing and able to make arrangements for trips that are further away when groups are involved.

That having been said, I’ll continue to lead an occasional trip… like the one below.

Saturday, July 17 – Sacramento River. Meet at Chico Park & Ride at 7:30 a.m. for a morning of birding on and around the river. We’ll probably just be out for a few hours, until it gets too hot!
