The Central Valley Birding Club and Altacal big day was a cut short by heavy rain. Three Altacal leaders and three CVBC participants set out to do a big day, but quit at about 2 in the afternoon. Highlights of the trip were Green Heron, American Bittern, Peregrine Falcon, Wild Turkey, Black Tern, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Ash-throated Flycatchers, Warbling Vireo, Phainopepla, Yellow Warbler, Townsend's Warbler, Wilson’s Warbler, Yellow-breasted Chat, Western Tanagers, Black-headed Grosbeaks and Yellow-headed Blackbirds.
