For those of you that have been waiting and wondering about this memorial, here is the update. You may remember that we were stalled for a long time by the expansion work out at the oxidation ponds. Then, our next hurdle was finding the right person or group to build the viewing blind with the resources that we have. We now have found just the right man. He is a new science teacher at my high school and it turns out he is from Paradise and knew Dr. Rodgers quite well. He even helped in the construction of the Rodgers' house and built a bird viewing blind with Dr. Rodgers in the past. Due to the constraints of our work schedules, he and I will be starting the construction after June 7 and will have it done this summer.
