Altacal has had a small response (10 members) to the proposal of delivering the newsletter via email to willing recipients to save money on the printing cost and the mailing cost of the newsletter (as well as saving the paper, fuel, and other resources associated with a paper newsletter). We'll be sending the newsletter to those members electronically, to see how it works out - it's a nice opportunity to work the bugs out of a system which may generate significant savings for us (as well as saving resources). However, due to the manual labor involved in manually "culling" the mailing list, it may not be worthwhile for us to do this if only a few members are willing; we'll try it for a few months to see how it goes.
