The 5th State of the Sacramento River Conference - November 17-18, 2001. In addition to the plenary sessions, we've scheduled several pre- and post-conference workshops and tours that may be of interest to the visionaries and river enthusiasts among us:
On Thursday, November 15, CSUC Processor Tom Griggs will lead a workshop and tour titled River Conservation: The Role and Impacts if Management in a Meandering River System.
On Friday, November 16, Ann Chrisney of the Riparian Habitat Joint Venture will host a Sacramento Valley Bioregional Workshop, and the Bureau of Land Management will host a tour of the proposed National Conservation Area above Red Bluff.
And on Sunday, November 18, we'll have a fun field trip to the Turtle Bay Park & Museum in Redding and a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service tour of river refuge lands.
