October 13 - Upper Bidwell Park. Meet at the Chico Park and Ride at 7 AM. Bring lunch and liquids. Maybe Mike Skram's recent Northern Parula Warbler has moved to the Park or the Gray Catbird has returned or just the great birds that come to Butte County in the Fall. October 28th - Bobelaine Sanctuary (Sutter County). Meet at the Chico Park and Ride at 7 AM. This will be Altacal's first visit to this lovely riparian area in Sutter County. Winter visitors should be in full swing and some neotropical migrants may be lingering. This will be half-day trip and will require moderate walking. November 11 - Chico Oxidation Ponds. Meet at the Chico Park and Ride at 7:30 AM. We'll go look at those pesky dull plumaged ducks and whatever else shows up.
