Our summer field trips are a great way to get out of the valley heat! Please join us! June 29 - July 1 - Yuba Pass / Sierra Valley. Meet at the Chico Park and Ride at 4:30 and we will head for the campground at Yuba Pass. Birds we have seen in the past are Black-backed woodpeckers, Evening Grosbeaks, Calliope Hummingbirds and Red Crossbills. July 20 - 22 - Arcata / Crescent City. Meet at the Chico Park and Ride at 4 P.M We will Camp and Motel it. This trip will give you a chance to work on those pesky Gulls and Shorebirds. August 17 - 19 - Mt. Lassen. Meet at the Chico Park and Ride at 4:30. We will camp at the Group camp grounds, so please let me know by July 7th so I can make reservations. Our past trips have had Blue Grouse, Williamson's Sapsucker and 7 or 8 Warblers.
