You may not be aware that there will be a significant north-state birding get-together happening in Chico early next year! Altacal is a major sponsor of this event, and we're hoping it will help to increase birdwatching tourism in the area. Activities will include:

• Field trips to popular local birding areas such as Gray Lodge, Oroville Wildlife Area, and Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge
• Workshops on bird identification, photography, and bird ecology (and some just for kids).
