Davin Bowker, Education Chair - David graduated from Humboldt State University in 1996 with a BS in Natural Resources Planning and Interpretation. In the fall he landed a job with the Mono Lake Committee in the beautiful eastern Sierra Nevada. In between giving interpretive talks about the plight of Mono Lake, he was given the opportunity to co-author a guidebook for the South Tufa area, a popular destination for many visitors. This experience reassured him that he wanted to pursue a teaching career and a year after arriving in the Mono basin he headed to Chico. He plans on entering the Chico State's teacher preparation program next Spring and in the meantime has been welcomed by the Altacal Audubon Society to act as their Director of Education. With so many possibilities, he hopes to begin by helping Altacal to develop a library of unique and useful educational resources to be made available for local educators. Included in this are going to be a number of slide presentations with themes that have yet to be dreamed up. With so many members, he welcomes you to share with us any ideas or suggestions you may have!
