| Come Celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week! |
Wildlife shows, exhibits, and guided bird walks are just some of the exciting activities that will take place during National Wildlife Refuge Week, October 10-16. There will be special activities on October 10th and 16th.
October 10th at Sacramento River NWR, Llano Seco Unit, will include a guided Refuge tour by van and special presentations by Sacramento River Preservation Trust, The Nature Conservancy, Point Reyes Bird Observatory, Altacal Audubon Society, and Sacramento River Partners. Activities will take place at the Llano Seco Unit ten miles southwest of Chico, on Seven Mile Lane.
October 16th - Wildlife shows, a guided bird walk, watercolor painting, and other activities will be held at the Sacramento NWR just ten miles south of Willows on Highway 99W. Both events are free and food will be for sale. The Sacramento NWR visitor center will be open from 7:30 am to 4:00 PM with special displays during the National Wildlife Refuge Week.
