March 5-7 - Honey Lake and Janesville. You can either meet us at the Chico Park and Ride at 4 P.M. on Friday afternoon, or Saturday Morning at 7 AM at the Fleming unit of the Honey Lake Wildlife Refuge. There are accommodations in Susanville, or you can camp at the Fleming unit. Definitely be prepared for cold weather and great birds. The last two years we have had Tree sparrow, Northern Shrike and (of course!) Sage Grouse on Sunday. We head out to the lek around 5 AM and have been successful every year in finding the birds.

March 20 - Dog Island (Red Bluff). Spend the Spring Equinox with us! We will meet at the Chico Park and Ride at Highway 32 at 7 AM for a trip to Red Bluff. Red Bluffians can meet us at Dog Island around 8 AM. We will take a walk around this migrant trap in the morning and then move to the riparian area by the Diversion Dam. Bring lunch or be prepared to dine out.

March 28 - Upper Bidwell Park. We will meet at 7 AM at the old shooting range parking area next to Horseshoe Lake. Bring lunch, liquids and hiking shoes.
