Request for Llano Seco Gatekeepers: As you may remember from last month's newsletter, we are searching out volunteers to lock and unlock the gate at this refuge. If we had 8 volunteers, the commitment would only be 1 weekend every 2 months. Lock the gate on Friday and Saturday evenings, and open on Saturday and Sunday mornings. So far, we have 3 people that have said they are willing. How about you?? Is this your next mission?? It is a good cause, do let us know. Thanks!

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the anonymous donor of $250; it will really help out with some of our projects! We also have received a number of donations to help replace some of the equipment that was stolen at the Central Valley Bird Club symposium (announced last month). The students who use the equipment really appreciate it!
