Our summertime trips are a great way to get out of the Chico
heat, and see some birds that you might not see around here. As these trips
take more planning than a regular day trip, you must register for all trips
at least two weeks in advance. Contact Richard Redmond at 893-5382 to register
and for further information. |

| June 12-14 - Malheur, Oregon. Malheur is quite a hot spot and should
be great at this time of year! We'll meet at the Park & Ride at 6:30
PM on Friday and head north to bird Saturday and Sunday morning at the refuge;
we'll then bird our way back to Chico. |
| July 11-12 - Alcatraz Gulls & Golden Gate Park. Do you have
trouble with Gulls? We will join PHD Brown at Alcatraz to study those pesky
gulls that we inlanders have so little experience with. We'll also spend
spend some time birding Golden Gate Park. |

July 24-26 - Eagle and Honey Lake. This annual trip is always a
summertime favorite! We'll leave Chico on Friday at 6 PM and dine in Susanville,
then drive in to stay at the Chico State Biology station. The group will
bird around the Eagle Lake environs on Saturday and observe our avian friends
in the Honey Lake area on Sunday. Those who wish to join us on Saturday can
meet us at the Field Station. |
|
| August 21-23 - Eureka and Crescent City. We'll leave Chico at 6
PM on Friday to head to the north coast to see what shorebirds (and other
birds!) we can come up with. |
