    Chapter Conservation News

The Science Club students of Corning Union High School, our adopted school, have installed, refurbished, and cleaned out 4 Barn Owl Nest Boxes.  Three of these are in Nature Conservancy Restoration property and one is in our Audubon Arneburg Sanctuary; all along the Sacramento River.  One nest box is already occupied with a pair of Barn Owls.  Rodents beware; an adult Barn Owl can eat over 1000 mice a year.

We’re currently seeking volunteers for the Conservation, Education, and Recruitment positions, and we’re always glad to have members- and directors-at-large to help out also.
