Birds of Upper Bidwell Park – Yahi Trail

We’ll meet at Parking Lot E, just past the gun club and walk up to Day Camp. All birders and nature lovers are welcome, especially those just learning about birds or wanting to learn about the birds of Bidwell Park. 8–11 A.M. Bring binoculars (some will be available to borrow), water, and snack.

Ted recently returned from a birding and bird photography tour of Trinidad & Tobago led by the well-known birder and superb bird artist, Keith Hansen. Northern Saw-whet Owl Banding

This is a rare chance to observe an owl research project studying migration of Northern Saw-whet Owls. Mist nets and an audio lure will be used to attempt to capture, band and release Northern Saw-whet Owls. Bring headlamps or flashlights, chairs, warm clothes, cameras, and snacks, and/or hot drinks. The Great Fly-Out

This year’s Great Fly-Out field trip will be at Llano Seco Viewing Platform on 7-Mile Lane or along Z Road. We’ll go where the geese and ducks are.
