Join Matt Forster, Altacal Audubon’s Field Trip Coordinator, for this special e-Bird field trip to the Chico Oxidation Pond Wildlife Sanctuary. You will get an up close view of the winter waterfowl and resident birds while capturing your list of sightings. Then bring your list to Altacal’s Monday, February 18 program for a hands-on how to “Become an e-Birder”. See Monday’s program for details.

The walk is under 2 miles and about 3 hours in total, flat and easy going.

You will need to RSVP for this trip. We are only allowed to take a total of 20 people. So first come, first serve. To get to the Oxidation Ponds, go west on W 5th St from Hwy 32 in Chico. Follow W 5th St, which becomes Chico River Rd, for 3.9 miles. Please contact Matthew Forster to reserve your space.
