Butte County’s Lost Sparrows Search
May 27 @ 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
Serious Butte County birders consider three sparrow species as the ‘holy grail trifecta’ of sought after county rarities: Black-chinned sparrow and black-throated sparrow were last reported here in 1984, while Bell’s sparrow (formerly sage sparrow) is a regular resident of Glenn and Colusa counties. Join Scott and Liam Huber as they search the sparrows last known haunts and maybe even seek out some new possible locations.
Bring lunch, water, an adventurous spirit and a winning attitude! Dress for warm weather. Meet in the east lot of the HWY 32 Chico Park n’ Ride at 7am.
