The "Web-linked Version of the Newsletter in PDF Format" is an enhanced version of the paper newsletter in that it contains color photos and images and many web hyperlinks to additional information about the content of the paper version.  It also allows Altacal to reduce the cost of printing and mailing the newsletter to members who choose the e-mail version.  It is published as a PDF document that requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader available at http://www.adobe.com/.  It is also placed on the Altacal web site. 

"Paper Version of the Newsletter in PDF Format" - The paper version of the newsletter is enhanced by the layout having been designed by a professional graphic designer.  It has much the same basic content as the electronic version but is published in black and white and without most of the hyperlinks to additional information.  It is also available on the web site as a PDF document that requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader available at http://www.adobe.com/ .  We are exploring the possibility of using this type of layout in the future for the e-mail version as well.

To download the Adobe Reader: click on one of the http://www.adobe.com/ links. Under the column headed "Solutions and Products" click on the box that says "Get ADOBE
READER". After downloading and installing the reader (which should provide installation instructions when you open it) you should be able to click on the newsletter links to read the PDF.
